Snow, entertainment in its pure state

Snowboarding, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowkiting, off-piste, ice climbing, sledding, snowmobiling, ice skating, curling, ice karting: Cortina, has it all.


The paradise of freestyle and snow is here, in the magical charm of the Dolomites. Jumps, tricks, fresh snow and snow park, there is something for everyone, both for the die-hard and for both newbies. Experts can indulge themselves with jumps and breathtaking descents on the slopes of 5 Torri and Faloria, beginners can approach this wonderful world on the gentle slopes of Pocol and Socrepes.

Ciaspes - snow walking

Excursions on snow shoes called "ciaspes", are the natural continuation of summer hiking. A fine, easy to enjoy activity which opens the user to the fantastic world of snowy mountains. Private trips can be arranged, or trips for small groups according to the various needs of the participants.


In Guargné, there is a special sled and snowbob run for exciting trips down and chairlifts back up. The run is approximately 1 km and is served by the Mietres chairlift. The snow bob can be hired at the start of the Guargné chairlift.


A bit like bowling but on ice. At the indoor Cortina Curling Association premises courses, lessons and matches are organised for tourists in the winter season, ensuring they have all the necessary equipment. The lessons are held by former athletes and qualified instructors of the Italian Federation of Ice Sports.

Ice skating

At the Olympic stadium ice-rink the Stadio Olimpico del Ghiaccio, purpose built for ice sports for the 1956 7th Winter Olympics and recently refurbished and improved to allow for indoor skating. Not only does it offer skating for the public but it also hosts competitions on ice, dancing on ice, short- track, curling, broomball and occasionally musical and folklore events.

Ice climbing

Climbing frozen waterfalls equipped with ice axes, crampons, climbing harness and helmet is a thrilling experience, sheer excitement, pure adrenalin. This extreme sport is possible with qualified alpine guides in various areas of the Dolomites.
For safety reasons this is not suitable for groups.

Ice Karting

Are you a bit tired of racing down mountains on two planks of wood? Then what about something different? Pull on your track suit, pick up a go kart and hit the accelerator.
Cortina and Auronzo Ice Racing are specialists in this sport and have prepared a track in the snow which is both safe and great fun.
